Digital Coach
I came across this term today via Seth Godin and feel that encapsulates what I do perfectly. In recent months I have had more and more requests from friends to help them with their digital problems. These range from simple tasks such as setting up formulae on spreadsheets (one technophobic friend was typing in numbers on a spreadsheet then adding them up on a calculator!) to uploading photos to setting up facebook accounts and pages and blogs. Because I have a maths degree I have a logical mind and can work things out fairly quickly. I am also a qualified teacher and love it when I have helped people with their learning.
Whatever business we are in these days we all have an online presence one way or another. Even the local plumber will have a listing on yell.com and use e-mail. How often now do you use your telephone directory? Last month facebook overtook google in numbers of visitors so if you do not have a presence you could potentially be missing out on a huge chunk of business. Not everyone has the time or the inclination to take full advantage of these opportunities so that is where I come in. I can help you set up a blog, facebook group or page or create an e-mail campaign for example. Once it is set up you then have the option of either maintaining it yourself fully or doing it with me holding your hand or let me mange it for you completely freeing you to continue growing your business.
